The Vez Spa is conceived as a holistic wellness environment where architecture, landscape, and hydrothermal programming support calm, restoration, and sensory renewal. The arrival sequence is intentionally composed to transition guests from reception into a range of experiences including treatment spaces, fitness, and a bath-house focused pool zone overlooking the Vez River. At the center is a five-pool thermal family designed for varied use and therapeutic contrast: a main pool at 32°C, a hot bath at 42°C, cool and cold plunge pools at 23°C and 14°C, and a warm plunge at 36°C. Together with the sauna, steam room, and Turkish bath, these spaces create a complete ritual of heat, cold, and rest, with intimate water niches that support contemplation and extended stays.
The building is organized as an open, fluid plan inspired by stones dispersed in a riverbed, minimizing barriers to movement while preserving uninterrupted visual connection to the river and surrounding landscape. Extensive glazing along the river façade and across most of the envelope maximizes daylight and outward views, while the overall siting aligns with existing site conditions and adjacent structures to ensure contextual continuity. Above, an accessible green roof extends the wellness experience as an elevated garden and viewing platform within the tree canopy, supporting quiet gathering, landscape observation, and birdwatching. The roof form is a ruled, twisting CLT surface supported by concrete walls, combining expressive geometry with practical constructability and shaping a clear spatial sequence at entry and over the primary pool hall.
