Opened in Sharjah on 30 March by His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, the BEEAH Headquarters establishes a new benchmark for sustainable, technology-driven workplace design. Conceived by Zaha Hadid Architects as the group’s management and administrative center, the 9,000-square-meter facility reflects BEEAH’s strategic focus on sustainability and digitalization across its core sectors, including waste management, recycling, clean energy, environmental consulting, education, and green mobility. Designed to operate at LEED Platinum standards with net-zero emissions, the project demonstrates how integrated architecture and systems can support future-ready organizational growth while advancing broader urban sustainability goals.
The building’s form is composed of interconnecting dune-like volumes that respond to the Al Sajaa desert context and local climatic conditions, balancing daylight access, shaded enclosure, and controlled glazing exposure. Its public, management, and administrative functions are organized around a central courtyard that supports passive ventilation, while a 15-meter entry dome enhances airflow and natural light. Performance is reinforced through glass-reinforced fiber panels, high-efficiency cooling strategies, on-site water treatment, and a solar farm with battery storage to meet day and night energy demand. A digitally enabled user environment, including contactless circulation, virtual concierge services, occupancy-responsive controls, and hybrid collaboration infrastructure, positions the headquarters as a practical model for next-generation, low-carbon workplaces.
